Shepherd Hill's Winter Percussion ensemble finished in third place at the NESBA championships at Dartmouth High School on Saturday, April 3rd, with a score of 85.35. Competing in the "Percussion Scholastic Marching AA" class, the Hill finished the season with a very strong performance. Congratulations to all percussion members, particularly to the soon to be graduating seniors: Jocelyn, Ashlee, Ashley, Audrey, Stephanie and Homer.
Scoring 80.3 the Color Guard took third place in the "National Scholastic 'A'" class, at the NESBA New England Winter Guard Championships, held at Reading Memorial High School on Sunday, March 28th. Congratulations to all Guard members, especially to our graduating seniors, Rachel, Sarah, and Maddie.
After a '5 Star' performance at the MICCA Finals in Lowell on October 25th, and a platinum show good for a second place (95.4) finish at the NESBA finals in Bridgewater on November 1st., the Shepherd Hill Marching Band turned in what co-director James Flynn called "their best performance of the season", finishing 3rd (95.875) out of 21 bands in Group 2, at the USSBA National Championships, in Annapolis, MD on Saturday, November 6th. The performance also earned the band it's first caption award (best music) at a USSBA National Championship show. In addition, the band was awarded the prestigious Esprit de Corps Award given by the Marine Corps to the band best exemplifying the characteristics of pride, professionalism and patriotism. Congratulations to all memebers of the band!!!
